Build the Hive: Designed for Every Client Relationship

Words by Peter

Making it easier to manage multiple contact details

Everyone builds relationships with clients differently. A wedding photographer will frequently work with couples, while a commercial photographer or creative artist may work drectly with one client, with a marketing manager or a company representative. When building shootbee, we wanted to make sure the platform could adapt to these different ways of working.
Understanding the client relationship

For many wedding photographers in this example, the relationship is not with one person—it is with two. A couple planning their wedding will often communicate together, make decisions together, and need both partners included throughout the process and access to the client portal.

For photographers and creatives who usually work with a single contact, this additional contact may not be needed—and that is exactly why it can be enabled or disabled.

A feature that adapts to your business

To support this workflow, we added the possibility to include a partner directly in lead and client contact details.

Each contact can have its own information:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

This keeps both people connected to the project while maintaining clear and organised client information.

Building flexible tools

The best tools are not the ones that force everyone into the same process. They are the ones that adapt to the way people work.

When enabled: partner information becomes available in leads and clients, the CRM layout adapts to include the additional contact.

When disabled: the interface stays focused on the information you actually need. No unnecessary fields. No clutter.

The partner contact feature is a small example of how we are building shootbee: understanding the different workflows of creative professionals and creating a platform that feels natural for each of them.

Another piece of the hive is coming together.
